Bibi Avzun

Mum Bibi Avzun is an 83+ year-old Wakhi devotional poet from Hussaini Village, Gojal Hunza, and the wife of the late Pup Muhammad Jami. She spent her younger years with the Mir family in Gulmit, becoming fluent in Burushaski, Khowar, and Shina alongside her native Wakhi. Her devotional poetry reflects deep faith, spiritual wisdom, and a lifelong commitment to preserving the Wakhi language and its rich literary tradition.
