Jawobi Nast

Zindegi muṣ̌kil sawol tin de ẓ̌ʉ ðast jiwobi nast
Tow rʉmṣ̌em zinda halam ha rang xiyol de xobi nast.
زندگی! یہ ایک مشکل سوال ہے جس کا میرے پاس کوئی جواب نہیں
آپ کو بھول کے زندہ رہوں ایسا گمان خواب میں بھی نہیں ہے۔
Life! It is a difficult question for which I have no answer.
The thought of living without you—such a thing I cannot even imagine in a dream.

Ṣ̌im zamona may kṣ̌uy maxluq čizen čizen nay xand
Wuz eṣ̌ xðoye ṣ̌ʉkrem qismat qismat xrobi ẓ̌ʉn nast.
زمانے کی باتیں مت سن لے زمانہ کچھ بھی کہہ سکتا
میں خدا کا شکر ادا کرتا ہوں میرا نصیب بُرا نہیں۔
Don't listen to what the world says, the world can say anything.
I thank God—my fate has not been bad.

Bixabar eṣ̌ ṣ̌ak dema gizd kerti ptʉn čman wiron
Boɣibon mar wezd xat ti xuṣ̌karda gʉlobi nast.
اچانک ایک تیز آندھی چلی اور پورے چمن کو ویران کر ڈالا
باغبان نے مجھے آکر اطلاع دی کہ تمھارا پسندیدہ گلاب غائب ہے
Suddenly, a fierce storm came and turned the whole garden desolate.
The gardener came and informed me that your favorite rose is gone.

Bu rori wuz tar mehmon ẓ̌ʉ hol tayin tu xat be nuvw
Dunyo mar zari ɣ̌eretk bet ɣami tu tobi ẓ̌ʉn nast.
میں صرف دو دن آپ کا مہمان ہوں میری حالت دیکھ کر آپ بھی رو پڑیں گی
دنیا میرے لیے زہر لگتی ہے مزید غم سہنے کی مجھ میں تاب نہیں۔
I’m just your guest for two days. If you see my condition, you’ll cry too.
The world tastes like poison to me—I cannot bear more sorrow.

Ẓ̌ʉ rang wistox tu wezi drem ẓ̌ʉ pʉzʉv dunyo zigar
Dem iṣ̌qe ṣ̌arme hayo, mʉṣ̌ʉv x̌ʉ rʉy hijobi nast.
میری طرح بے تکلف آکر دل کی دنیا کی سیر کر لے
عشق میں شرم و حیا اور حجاب کرنا کیا معنی رکھتا ہے۔
Like me, come freely and wander the world of the heart—
what meaning do shame or veils hold in love?

Soqi pusverz et ɣa go wuðgem ɣa pitk xamor ṣ̌ken
Ey wuzem baðnom ṣ̌robi bet mar tilab ṣ̌robi nast.
آج ساقی نے محفل طویل کی، جی بھر کے پی لی میں نے
اگرچہ میں بڑا شرابی ہوں لیکن آج پینے کی مزید طلب نہ رہی۔
Today the cupbearer extended the gathering—I drank to my fill.
Though I’m quite the drunkard, today I crave no more.

Tu če xušruyven xušruy dem jahon tu xat x̌ʉ misol
Ti yangel voɣe kui ney wost yem qisa de kitobi nast.
اِس جہاں میں آپ کی خوبصورتی خود اپنی مثال آپ ہیں
تمھارا مشابہ کوئی نہیں، نہ ہی کسی کتاب میں کوئی ذکر ہے۔۔
Your beauty in this world stands as its own example—
there is none like you, nor any mention of such in any book.

X̌ʉ ṣ̌irin jon tar xanem jon be tu darzz xan ki digar tin čiz armon
Ti destan jon xudyi yaw rʉmṣ̌ek de hisobi nast.
تمھیں اپنی جان کہتا ہوں اور اپنی جان بھی تم پر قربان کرتا ہوں
تمھارے لیے سب کچھ کر سکتا ہوں لیکن تمھیں بھول نہیں سکتا۔۔۔
I call you my life and I would give my life for you.
I could do anything for you—but forgetting you is impossible.

Maẓ̌ yi nizar tow če wind malang mastona em witi
Ey jonon hem rang naṣ̌a digar de kum ṣ̌robi nast.
تمھیں ایک نظر کیا دیکھا بس دیوانہ ہی ہو گیا
میری جاناں ایسا نشہ تو کسی شراب میں بھی نہیں ہے۔
One glance at you, and I went mad.
My beloved—no wine ever had such an intoxicating effect.

Soda dil soda zʉbon soda andoz ti Hasrat tin
Oṣ̌iqiṣ̌t pir tow diṣ̌en ti rang kui intixobi nast.
تمھارا حسرت ایک سادہ دل اور سادہ مزاج انسان ہے
اس لیے عُشاق تمھیں پیر مانتے ہیں تم جیسا کوئی انتخاب نہیں
